Wine Trails

Several really excellent wines are produced in New Zealand, a country with more than 400 wineries. The main areas for producing wine are Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Central Otago located in the South Island and Gisborne, Martinborough, Auckland and Hawke’s Bay located in the North Island.

Many of the New Zealand’s wineries welcome tourists to taste and buy their wines. Several winneries are also offering tours of the winery and some even have restaurants where they serve excellent food recommended for their wines. Local travel companies offer guided tours of wineries in New Zealand.
